About Cherilyn

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Cherilyn Rowland Petrie completed her Master's in Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida in 2001 and was licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in 2004. She is a Florida Qualified Supervisor since 2007.  She specializes in using EMDR Therapy to treat children and adults who have experienced early trauma, attachment injury, and neglect and who have complex clinical presentations. She was trained by the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation to treat of Dissociative Disorders and has completed an advanced course in diagnosing and treating Children and Adolescents with Dissociative Disorders.

 

Cherilyn was credentialed as an Approved Consultant in EMDR Therapy in 2013 through the EMDR International Association. She trains professionally through ConnectEMDR and has trained locally, nationally and internationally. She volunteers for Trauma Recovery, EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs as a clinician who sees clients who have experiences community disasters through the local Trauma Recovery Network (TRN).Cherilyn was the TRN Coordinator in 2016 and organized the response to the Pulse nightclub shootings. Cherilyn also serves on the Board of the Greater Orlando EMDRIA Network (GOEMDRIAN) with the goal of growing the EMDR community.

About Ashleah

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Ashleah Zigmond completed her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at the Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2015, obtaining her professional license in 2019.  She is a Florida Qualified Supervisor since 2022 and the clinical supervisor at Kids House of Seminole. She is a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP) as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She is an EMDR Certified Therapist and is trained in PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy).  Ashleah's specialty is working with adults and children who have experienced trauma, abuse, attachment injury, and neglect. Ashleah also specializes in working with individuals living with chronic health conditions and chronic pain.

About Heather

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Heather Bomar Stamm completed her Master's in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Central Florida in 2014. She is a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma (CATP) Professional as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Heather's primary specialty is working with individuals, both children and adults, who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect. She is trained in EMDR and PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy).

Heather has been active in the eating disorder community in central Florida for over 12 years. She currently serves on the board for the Central Florida iaedp Chapter and the Orlando Affiliate of the National Alliance for Eating Disorders and served on the board for the Eating Disorders Network of Central Florida (EDNCF) for 10 years. Heather has organized nine NEDA Walks Orlando, helped raise over $100,000 in funds to provide eating disorder and body image issues treatment and treatment scholarships for individuals in central Florida. Heather has lobbied on Capital Hill in D.C. for Mental Health Care Reform.
